Job summary

The On-Site role coordinates a wide range of complex duties that support front end revenue cycle and clinic functions for hospital and clinic operations that impact the patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtains, confirms, and enters demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance.
• Contacts patients’ families or physicians’ offices to obtain missing insurance information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and notifies of issues.
• Collaborates with scheduling to identify add-on patients.
• Obtains necessary authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals.
• Notifies patients of liabilities prior to service date and collects funds.
• Maintains records and documentation in the system of record.
• Serves as a lead resource for lower-level Patient Services staff.
• Recommends new approaches to management to enhance performance.
• Responds to technical issues via phone, email, web messages, or fax.
• Works independently and handles heavy workload and complex inquiries.
• Models a culture of compassion and caring with staff, patients, families.
• Projects a professional appearance and welcoming atmosphere.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and safeguards assets.
