Job summary

Addison Group in Claremore, OK is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Specialist to support AP/AR, reconciliations, data entry, and sales tax work in a busy accounting department. The role offers a flexible, part-time schedule with onsite work and potential for long-term employment.

The ideal candidate will handle invoices, payments, reconciliations, and month-end tasks while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a general or blended accounting position.
• Experience with both AP and AR.
• Familiarity with account reconciliations and data entry.
• Knowledge of sales tax processes and documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Enter invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting information accurately.
• Assist with customer invoicing, account maintenance, and payment processing.
• Apply customer payments and provide support with outstanding receivables.
• Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Review vendor statements and address outstanding issues.
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor records and documentation.
• Assist with sales tax requirements, certificates, and related paperwork.
• Investigate accounting variances and make corrections as needed.
• Support month‑end close activities and account reconciliation.
• Assist with journal entry preparation and other general accounting tasks.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment questions.
