Job summary

Optum Insight in Brentwood, TN is seeking a full-time claims and collections specialist to handle high-volume provider calls and overpayments. This onsite role requires strong customer service, basic documentation, and compliance with policies.

You will review and negotiate claims, support recovery efforts, and maintain professional relationships with providers. Training starts with standard hours, with occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, 18+ years old.
• 1+ years in claims, collections, billing or overdue payments.
• 1+ years of customer service with problems solving and analysis.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook for correspondence and data tasks.
• Onsite work at 12 Cadillac Drive Brentwood TN 37027 during all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls and make outbound calls to discuss and resolve overpayments.
• Provide claims expertise by reviewing, researching, negotiating, and resolving claims.
• Plan and organize work to meet production goals in a fast-paced setting.
• Communicate professionally with providers to ensure client needs are met.
• Escalate recovery efforts and report on trends and updates.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal policies and contracts.
• Work independently while mentoring others and performing additional duties.
