Job summary

Optum is hiring a Senior Recovery Resolution Representative to handle inbound and outbound calls, resolve overpayments, and support recovery for health plans and government entities. This onsite role in Brentwood, TN requires full-time hours, training, and potential overtime.

The position emphasizes professional communication, adherence to compliance, and teamwork, with a focus on delivering accurate recoveries in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in claims, collections, billing, or handling overdue payments.
• 1+ years of customer service with analyzing and solving customer problems.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls from providers and/or make outbound calls to discuss and resolve outstanding overpayments.
• Provide claims expertise support by reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, and resolving all types of claims and recovery for health plans, commercial customers, and government entities.
• Plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet production goals, quotas and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate professionally with providers to ensure needs are met and build rapport for timely recoveries.
• Escalate recovery efforts through various channels to progress and resolve situations.
• Analyze trends and provide inventory or client updates as necessary.
• Must meet state and federal compliance policies and contract requirements.
• Works independently while mentoring others.
