Bright Futures Psychiatry is expanding and seeks a full-time, onsite PMHNP to join our team in the Broadmoor area of Colorado Springs. You will diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions, manage medications, and provide psychotherapy while documenting promptly in AdvancedMD EHR.

Qualifications

• Active and clear Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado.
• Active DEA license in Colorado.
• Willing to work with Clinical Support team to handle PMHNP needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and sound judgment in a dynamic setting.
• Ability to obtain BLS if not currently certified.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute psychiatric problems and crises.
• Provide psychopharmacologic management.
• Provide supportive psychotherapy.

We are a 100% PMHNP female owned practice, founded by an Air Force Veteran , and located in the beautiful Broadmoor area of Colorado Springs . What You’ll Do:

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common, acute psychiatric problems, illness, and crises.
• Provides psychopharmacologic management.
• Provides supportive psychotherapy.
• Documents in AdvancedMD EHR within 72 hours from time of service.
• Maintains workstations, client rooms, and examination areas in a manner consistent with OSHA standards and Universal Precautions procedures.
• Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards, maintaining timely and accurate records in the EHR.
• Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stays abreast of current technologies and practices.
• Maintain all applicable certifications (i.e. DEA, CO RN, APRN, and RXN, BLS).
• Apply safety principles as per organizational policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with legal issues- including but not limited to client confidentiality and risk management according to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operation demands while maintaining quality high-quality care delivery.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all team members and assist as needed to ensure a smooth operation.
• Schedule client appointments and manage the client flow within the office.
• Maintain accurate office and department records.
• Utilize EHR, phone systems, and other necessary technology tools to enhance clinic operations.

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Be punctual and reliable, showing commitment to working as part of a team.
• Assist team members and the office as needed, offering flexibility in support of colleagues.
• Must possess good judgment, attention to detail, and ability to make sound decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility to handle shifting priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequently required to stand.

What We’re Looking For:

Required

• Active and clear Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Colorado
• Active DEA license in the state of Colorado
• Willing to work with our Clinical Support team to handle a variety of PMHNP needs
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Good judgment, detail-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Basic Life Support (current AHA Provider Certification) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Preferred

• Experience in an Outpatient Mental Health Office
• Experience Working Within an EHR
• Pay Rate: $114,649.60-$140,150.40 annually (based on experience)
