Job summary

Day & Zimmermann seeks an Outage Timekeeper for a roughly six-week outage at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant in Soddy-Daisy, TN. The role is onsite with 12-hour shifts, five to six days per week, supporting accurate labor hour recording and payroll data.

You will work with craft supervision, project controls, and accounting to verify hours, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with union agreements. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in timekeeping, payroll, or admin support within power generation or heavy industry.
• Union craft environment experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with craft payroll practices and labor agreements.
• Proficiency with project management systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and enter daily craft labor hours with union coding.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping records in payroll systems.
• Coordinate with supervision to validate hours and resolve discrepancies.
• Generate and distribute labor reports for management and clients.
• Track overtime, shift differentials, per diem, and premium pay.
• Submit approved timesheets to payroll on time.
• Support audit requests with complete labor documentation.
• Assist onboarding by setting up timekeeping records.
• Communicate policy updates to field supervision and craft staff.
• Collaborate with project controls to align hours with costs.
