Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a direct-hire, full-time on-site Cybersecurity Custodian to support OT/ICS security for a major power plant project in Beech Island, SC. You will work with EPC owners and vendors to ensure secure systems and complete audit-ready evidence packages.

The role begins in 2027, involves on-site work through installation and commissioning, and may transition to a broader ICs cybersecurity consultant position within BV’s IA team. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supporting industrial/power generation control systems or OT environments.
• Security certifications (e.g., Security+, GIAC, ISA/IEC 62443, CISSP).
• Experience with DCS/PLC/SCADA/HMI control systems.
• Knowledge of OT networks (IP addressing, VLANs, firewalls).
• Familiarity with NERC CIP, MFA, least privilege design.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site OT cybersecurity program execution alongside BV consultants.
• Maintain audit-ready evidence repository with proper dating and attribution.
• Support FAT/CFAT readiness and vendor engagement for testing activities.
• Verify access controls, MFA, least privilege, and asset inventory compliance.
• Document cybersecurity events, corrective actions, and remediation steps.
