Lonza in Walkersville, MD is seeking an Automation – OT Engineer to lead and support site OT systems. This onsite role emphasizes system integrity, cybersecurity, and regulatory readiness across EMS, BAS, PCS, MES/EBR, and LIMS environments.

You will collaborate with engineering, IT, and vendors to drive lifecycle management, CAPEX/OPEX projects, and continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required for OT/industrial automation roles.
• 5+ years hands-on OT/industrial automation experience in regulated manufacturing or lab settings.
• Proficiency with control systems and automation platforms such as DeltaV, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and MODA-ES.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical leadership for site OT systems and provide hands-on support.
• Maintain and troubleshoot OT infrastructure including DCS, PLCs, EMS, BAS, LIMS, and MES/EBR.
• Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, GAMP, GMP, and related standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and vendors on installation planning and lifecycle management.
• Lead audits, inspections, and regulatory engagements as SME for Automation/OT.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives and disaster recovery planning.
