Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking an OSP Construction Project Engineer in Pearland, TX. This full-time role builds relationships with communities and contractor partners to facilitate Outside Plant construction and installation of our network in the market.

Daily onsite presence is essential to oversee line-crews, splicers, and subcontractor crews, ensuring on-time completion within budget. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of OSP engineering or construction experience, a valid driver's license, and a

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in OSP engineering, construction, or operations.
• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid, fully unencumbered driver’s license required.
• Fiber or telecom industry experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OSP crews’ activity to complete work safely, on time, and within budget.
• Track crew progress and report real‑time status to leadership.
• Ensure subcontractors meet OSHA/NESC safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Engage with municipalities, utilities, and community members to address concerns.
• Support materials forecasting, scheduling, and permitting.
