Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Site Manager for OSS to oversee operations at a Hawthorne, CA location. You will lead on-site teams, ensure safety, compliance, and profitability, and coordinate with Health & Safety, Regulatory, and HR managers while supporting customer contracts and project management.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and experience in waste operations, with a focus on cost control, reporting, and client-facing duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• 3–5 years' experience in waste operations, hazardous waste, recycling, or material operations management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; Microsoft Suite proficiency.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT and state rules; ability to attain knowledge as needed.
• HazMat/HazWoper certification is required.
• Experience with contract adherence and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 100% safety track record by following SOPs and safety programs.
• Direct and develop the on-site team, including hiring, performance reviews, and development.
• Ensure environmental compliance with regulations and proper record-keeping for audits.
• Serve as the face of the company and liaison with the customer.
• Identify opportunities with Business Development and Account Managers; manage quotes.
