Job summary

Clean Harbors in Mount Vernon, IN is seeking an InSite Operations Manager II to lead onsite environmental operations at a key customer location. You will organize day-to-day operations to maximize profitability, ensure safe and compliant service delivery, and plan for ongoing operational needs related to technology, facilities, labor, and equipment.

You will develop, monitor, and measure performance against operational and financial KPIs while providing strong leadership to the onsite InSite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in operations management, environmental services, or related field.
• Required training/certifications: RCRA, OSHA 24-hour HAZWOPER, DOT.
• Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication with internal teams and customers.
• Broad knowledge of managerial, selling, and equipment operations.
• Basic math and safety training skills.
• Demonstrated management/leadership experience, including supervising teams and driving performance.
• Experience with P&L statements and providing timely analyses to upper management.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee waste management services at a customer site or group of locations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and coordinate Health and Safety oversight of onsite employees supporting customer programs.
• Maximize utilization of equipment and manpower to support productivity, service quality, and profitability.
• Develop, monitor, and measure operational and financial KPIs to drive improvement and cost control.
• Establish processes to measure onsite personnel performance and improve performance.
• Ensure infrastructure, tools, and personnel are equipped to conduct business efficiently.
• Guide development of onsite personnel through coaching, training, and mentoring; support succession planning.
• Develop and ensure compliance with company and customer policies and standards.
• Provide accurate reporting, analysis, and data to upper management on operations, KPIs, and financial performance.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders and Clean Harbors leadership to address issues and optimize program performance.
• Perform other related duties to support InSite Program success.
