Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily dock, freight and terminal activities in our Atlanta service center. This role translates network strategy into execution, balancing throughput, cost, service quality and safety in a fast-paced LTL environment.

You will supervise frontline teams, optimize costs, ensure DOT/OSHA compliance, and coordinate with linehaul and drivers to keep freight moving safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of relevant operations or logistics experience (or equivalent combination).
• Experience in transportation, LTL, warehouse, or service center operations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and evaluate team members.
• Strong safety/compliance knowledge and HazMat handling experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Execute dock and terminal operations with precision, including load planning and coordination.
• Monitor costs and optimize efficiency and margin performance.
• Maintain safety, compliance with DOT, OSHA, and hazmat standards; enforce policies.
• Supervise, coach, and develop service center personnel with clear accountability.
• Coordinate with linehaul contractors, drivers, and internal teams to ensure seamless freight movement.
