Job summary

RPC Company is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer for a premier commercial property in Dallas Uptown. The role focuses on operating and maintaining building systems with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including DDС and pneumatic controls.

You will support tenant improvements, capital projects, preventive maintenance, and emergency response, while participating in on-call rotations and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related commercial building/facilities engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Electrical, HVAC, mechanical, stationary engineer, SMA/SMT, or related licenses/certifications are preferred.
• General computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to lift/move 50–100 lbs. and perform building maintenance duties.
• Reliable transportation and ability to respond to emergency/on-call situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial building systems.
• Work with HVAC/mechanical systems, DDС and pneumatic controls, plumbing, electrical systems, access controls, and fire/life-safety systems.
• Perform general building repairs including lighting, doors/hardware, ceilings, flooring, roofing, garages, and related areas.
• Support tenant improvements and capital projects, inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency response.
• Respond professionally to tenant/customer service requests and coordinate with property management and teams.
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and occasional overtime.
