Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring a pharmacy technician to join the ambulatory oncology pharmacy team onsite at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

You will work with patients seeing their specialist and collaborate with a clinical pharmacist to ensure safe, high-quality care. Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists, preparing medication orders, resolving insurance prior authorizations, coordinating lab monitoring, and handling clinic administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
• Top candidates have experience in Prior Auth, specialty meds, hospital or clinical work.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintain records as required.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing using pharmacy technology and perform necessary calculations.
• Attain supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and know when a pharmacist must verify tasks.
• Maintain medication supplies and manage 340B/Charging as required.
• Communicate with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
