Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the St. Mary’s Regional Hospital oncology clinic in Grand Junction, CO. This on-site role supports pharmacists, handles medication access, and collaborates with care teams to ensure safe and timely patient treatment.

You will assist with prior authorizations, insurance issues, lab coordination, and scheduling while maintaining accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drugs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required by regulation and policy.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing using pharmacy technology and perform calculations as needed.
• Obtain supervision and verification from pharmacists and know when to escalate tasks.
• Assist with inventory, controlled substances, costs, and 340B/Charging management as required.
• Communicate with caregivers about responsibilities and safety considerations, and participate in quality initiatives.
