Job summary

Willow Creek Behavioral Health in Green Bay, Wisconsin, seeks a Certified Recreational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patients recovering from injury or disability. Under supervision, you’ll implement therapy services to restore function and reduce disability, contributing to a collaborative healthcare team.

The role requires an OTA/CRT degree, eligibility for licensure, CPR and de-escalation certification, and experience with the facility’s patient population.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or similar field acceptable for licensure.
• One or more years’ experience working with the facility population is required.

Responsibilities

• Observes patients before, during and after therapy and reports status to the occupational therapist or clinical supervisor.
• Assists patients with therapeutic activities, stretches and exercises.
• Leads play activities for children with developmental disabilities to promote coordination and socialization.
• Assists therapists in providing therapy to patients.
• Encourages patients to complete activities and tasks.
• Teaches clients how to use equipment for daily living activities.
• Documents clinical information in medical records per policy.
• Collaborates with staff to rehabilitate and reintegrate patients.

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or similar field
