Job summary

Dexian is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in New York City. This role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise networks with emphasis on availability, security, and performance across the organization.

The successful candidate will work with Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration across IT teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Experience with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, ACLs, and NAT.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless networks.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity issues.
• Support routing and switching technologies, including OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and firewall-related issues.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on infrastructure projects.
• Ensure network security, availability, and business continuity.
