Job summary

Compass Pointe Consulting, LLC seeks a Network Engineer to support the Washington DC area facilities, including 52 field offices. On-site 5 days/week, you will monitor, maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Cisco devices, Meraki wireless, Palo Alto firewalls, and VPN/ExpressRoute connections, under Senior Network Engineer guidance.

Requirements include a BS in CS/IT/Engineering with 3+ years in network support, CCNA preferred, and ability to work in English.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering plus 3+ years in network support.
Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS, VLANs, EtherChannel, and routing.
Experience with Palo Alto, Meraki, VPNs, and cloud connectivity (Azure).

Responsibilities

Support and maintain LAN/WAN, network devices, UPS, and environment monitoring for DC and field offices.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers/switches, Meraki wireless, and Palo Alto firewalls.
Support Internet connectivity and VPNs including ExpressRoute to partner networks.
Monitor network health using ManageEngine/OpManager/NetFlow.
Create and update SOPs and configuration tracking documents.
Handle routine network troubleshooting and coordinate with teams and vendors.
Monitor Palo Alto firewall logs for anomalies.
Troubleshoot WAN/MPLS circuits and open ISP tickets.
Must be available for weekend maintenance and outages; communicate in English.
