Job summary

South University Savannah is seeking a Nursing Clinical Adjunct for on-site teaching. The role focuses on preparing and delivering clinical and laboratory nursing experiences under the supervision of the Lead Clinical Faculty and Program Director.

The position requires a nursing background with a bachelor’s degree and preferred master’s in nursing, plus clinical experience in Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, ED, or ICU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Two years’ experience in the clinical specialty area.
• Experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatrics, Emergency Department, or ICU/Critical Care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with student populations.
• Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in clinical practice and nursing labs.
• Counsel or refer students with identified clinical performance problems.
• Prepare and teach clinical and/or laboratory nursing courses.
• Develop course materials to deliver course information effectively and engage students.
• Adhere to office hours and fulfill duties per employment contract.
• Collaborate with Lead Clinical Faculty, Clinical Coordinator, and Program Director.
