Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA, seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Clinical Practitioner) to join the medical clinic team. You will lead diagnostic assessments and treatment for occupational and non-occupational illnesses, provide education, and guide clinical care.

This onsite role emphasizes collaboration within the health team and management of worker health programs. The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Nursing with at least 10 years’ nursing experience,

Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing with minimum 10 years of nursing experience including at least 5 years as a nurse practitioner
Minimum 3 years occupational medicine experience
Active nursing licensure for CA, NM, and NV and a DEA license
Ability to obtain DOE L-level security clearance

Responsibilities

Provide diagnostic assessment, treatment, and referral for occupational and non-occupational illness and injury
Perform medical surveillance or certification examinations, interprets diagnostic tests and data, prescribes medications, and makes independent health care assessments and referrals
Research and report on a variety of medical issues, practices, and conditions
Provide consultation to management and employees regarding travel, return to work, work accommodations, or other processes related to occupational medicine
Respond to medical emergencies onsite using your skill in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support to stabilize until transport is available
Contribute to coordination of care with case managers
