Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Clinical Practitioner) to join the Livermore, CA site clinic team. You will lead clinical care, perform examinations, prescribe medications, and provide occupational health guidance to employees.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing with 10+ years of nursing experience, including 5+ years as a NP and 3+ years in occupational medicine, CA/NM/NV licensure, DEA license, and DOE L-level security clearance.

What Your Job Will Be Like

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (job title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner) to join the medical clinic team at the Livermore, CA site.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Provide diagnostic assessment, treatment, and referral as required for occupational and non-occupational illness and injury while providing education and guidance as clinical team lead
• Perform medical surveillance or certification examinations, interprets diagnostic tests and data, prescribes medications, and makes independent health care assessments and referrals
• Research and report on a variety of medical issues, practices, and conditions, as required
• Provide consultation to management and employees regarding travel, return to work, work accommodations, or other processes related to occupational medicine
• Respond to medical emergencies onsite using your skill in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support to stabilize until transport is available
• Contribute to coordination of care with case managers

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range

$121,900 - $237,800

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require

• Master's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 10 years of nursing experience including:
  • at least 5 years of experience as a nurse practitioner
  • at least 3 years of occupational medicine experience
• Experience working within a clinical setting delivering direct patient care
• Ability to obtain and maintain required applicable licensures and certifications, including but not limited to:
  • Nursing Licensure for California, New Mexico, and Nevada
  • DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) License
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
