Job summary

Coastal International Security, Inc. seeks a Technical Project Manager 2 at Los Alamos National Laboratory to oversee discrete technical construction scope in a DOE Hazard Category 2 facility.

The role is 100% onsite at TA-55 with a duration up to 5 years, supporting compliant project execution and turnover through NQA-1 standards. Responsibilities include managing scope, budgets, and schedules; coordinating with construction, operations, and safety teams; and ensuring alignment with DOE/NNSA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of directly related experience.
• Experience in a nuclear facility or laboratory environment.
• Experience with security/classification protocols in DOE/NNSA and NQA-1 requirements.
• Active DOE Q clearance with ability to obtain A-Level Access.
• Experience managing DOE/NNSA project/construction in Hazard Category 2 facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical construction scope, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks.
• Lead project planning, tracking, and turnover of scope from initiation onward.
• Coordinate with Triad's contract, NNSA, and DOE 413.3B requirements.
• Report to the Manager of Projects and manage day-to-day project operations.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for construction and work execution in a nuclear facility.
• Monitor program budgets and provide technical guidance to teams.
• Coordinate between construction, operations, radiological control, and safety groups.
• Support D&D, testing, and turnover activities under NQA-1.
