Job summary

Dev Technology Group is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support critical CBP applications. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and coordinate incident response 24/7, ensuring system reliability and performance across the Passenger Services Program Directorate suite.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in IT operations, strong ITIL knowledge, and hands-on use of Splunk, AppDynamics, and Auto Ops. Overnight onsite shifts in Ashburn, VA are required with flexibility for additional coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting IT systems, including troubleshooting and monitoring.
• Strong ITIL principles applied in an operational environment.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Auto Ops.
• Experience identifying, investigating, and escalating incidents.
• Ability to manage multiple systems and prioritize time-sensitive issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to work overnight onsite in Ashburn, VA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mission-critical applications and systems to detect issues before outages.
• Respond to alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and coordinate resolution with teams.
• Support PSPD's suite of customer-facing applications for availability and performance.
• Document incidents with impact, root cause, actions, and status.
• Track changes, maintenance, and outages; escalate as needed and verify fixes.
• Communicate system health and trends with government stakeholders.
• Support SLAs through timely response and follow-up.
• Analyze dependencies and data for reliability improvements.
• Assist RCA, incident reviews, and preventative recommendations.
• Prepare daily health updates and monthly program reviews.
• Help onboard new applications into monitoring processes and improve docs.
