Job summary

The Themesoft Inc. team in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer to join the Operations NPI/Product Development Engineering group. You will support hardware server testing, debugging, and failure analysis in a night-shift lab environment.

You will triage server platform failures, perform root-cause analysis, and enable smooth factory and NPI operations for datacenter platforms while working closely with HW/FW/SW teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

2+ years in hardware server testing and debugging for datacenter platforms.
Strong Linux proficiency including log analysis and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with CPUs/GPUs/memory/storage/networking.
Familiarity with test software used in factory/NPI settings and log review.

Responsibilities

Perform first-level hardware triage and troubleshooting for server platforms.
Debug server platforms, perform minor rework, retesting, and recovery.
Review logfiles; make initial triage decisions and escalate as needed.
Support hardware bring-up, diagnostics, and test development for complex systems.
Develop and maintain test automation and diagnostic scripts using Shell/Python.
Install and validate OS/firmware/software; work in bare-metal and virtualized environments.
Collaborate with HW/FW/SW, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve yield and reliability.
Contribute to SOPs and documentation for assembly, test, debug, and failure analysis.
