Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in Amarillo, TX is seeking an experienced IT Networking Engineer to support mission-critical network infrastructure at the DOE Pantex Plant. You will maintain and modernize enterprise networks, support network operations, performance optimization, and infrastructure lifecycle management.

The role requires strong Cisco networking expertise, experience in secure government environments, and the ability to maintain highly available systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of networking experience with enterprise systems.
• Strong Cisco enterprise routing and switching expertise.
• Experience in secure, regulated government environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless, and data center environments.
• Troubleshoot network incidents and restore services per SLAs.
• Develop lifecycle management plans for upgrades, patching, and maintenance windows.
• Monitor network health and performance and support NOC/SOC integration.
