Job summary

BCforward is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer for an onsite role in MN/WI. You will design, configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise routing and switching infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will work independently on well-defined network initiatives, install Cisco Catalyst C9000 and C8000 devices, and maintain thorough technical documentation while collaborating with the broader engineering team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in network engineering for enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, OSI model, and routing/switching.
• Experience installing Cisco Catalyst switches/routers.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Install and configure Cisco switches and routers.
• Troubleshoot network issues and analyze at OSI Layers 1–3.
• Deploy equipment at access and distribution layers and document changes.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and maintain project status updates.
