Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking an assembly-focused operator to conduct all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products and to pack goods when integrated with production lines. You will read technical diagrams, perform manual tasks with light tools, operate shop-floor equipment, and maintain quality through regular testing.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year in manufacturing, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

Conduct all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing with production lines.
Read and interpret technical diagrams/instructions for assembly.
Perform work manually or using light hand tools.
Operate machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
Carry out regular quality testing as part of the production process.
Maintain a clean work area and follow standard operating procedures.
