Job summary

Miami Township (Clermont County, Ohio) is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Associate to support the Township's day-to-day financial operations. This onsite, full-time role handles payroll, accounting, and purchasing for all Township departments.

The Finance Associate performs a variety of administrative, accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll duties, including preparing and processing bi-weekly payroll, supporting accounts payable and receivable processes, and assisting with purchasing

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, preferably in local government or the public sector.
• Payroll experience preferred.
• Knowledge of government/fund accounting preferred.
• Associate degree in accounting, bookkeeping, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist with purchasing activities.
• Handle sensitive township information with professionalism, discretion and sound judgment.
• Maintain accurate payroll, accounting, and purchasing records for all departments.
