Job summary

Prisma International, Inc. seeks experienced onsite interpreters to provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretation in California.

Opportunities may include Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) as needed, with preference for those court-certified or with proven legal interpretation experience. Qualified applicants will have full fluency in English and the target language, strong references, and the ability to work in fast-paced, professional settings.

Qualifications

• Court-certified in CA or US Federal Courts, or 2+ years onsite interpretation in legal/government settings.
• Trained by recognized interpretation organizations and/or higher education institutions.
• Three references confirming professional interpreter status.
• Fluency in English and the other language.
• Minimum age 18; high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Provide simultaneous and/or consecutive onsite interpretation for Prisma clients in California.
• Support video remote interpretation (VRI) when available.
• Review background documents before assignments to ensure accurate interpretation.
• Operate interpretation tools and equipment (booth, headsets, FM transmitters) as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance, punctuality and high standards of ethics.
