Job summary

Capitol Valley Electric LLC is seeking a foreman to lead a multifamily project in Sonoma County. The role includes supervising a crew of electricians, coordinating material delivery, and ensuring on-time, compliant workmanship in a dynamic environment.

You’ll read blueprints, manage subcontractors, and maintain rigorous documentation. The position offers housing options (hotel or furnished apartment) for the project duration and a full-time permanent schedule in Sonoma, CA.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved apprenticeship program is a plus.
• Ability to interpret specifications and read blueprints.
• 3-5 years' experience supervising electrical sub-contractors.
• At least 8 years of experience in commercial and mixed-use buildings.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Moderate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, project plans and schematics to understand project scope and requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and supervise electricians effectively to optimize productivity.
• Order and coordinate delivery of material.
• Conduct regular job walks and site inspections to monitor progress and ensure work is completed correctly.
• Comply with all documentation requirements and fill out all project related reports, such as: Daily Reports, Safety Reports, Inspection Reports, 2 & 3 week look ahead schedules.
• Audit safe work practices, ensuring PPE is available and used properly.
• Assist superintendent in employee evaluations.
• Communicate with project managers and clients.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NEC codes and Title 24 requirements.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and performance.
