Job summary

Philips in Lathem, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the production of large industrial superconducting MRI magnets and help drive reliability on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with production management, quality, design, supplier quality, and technicians, gaining exposure to PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ, and process validation in a medical device environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in manufacturing, medical device manufacturing preferred.
• Welding/brazing tech, tooling design for welding/brazing, and automation.
• Induction brazing/TIG/MIG experience preferred; root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Process validation documents PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ; statistical analysis; tooling/fixture design; GD&T.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering; strong communication.

You're The Right Fit If

• You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, with medical device manufacturing preferred.
• Your skills include an understanding of welding or brazing technologies, tooling design for use in welding/brazing applications, automation of welding/brazing. Induction brazing/TIG/MIG process experience is preferred. Your skills also include root cause analysis of production process failures, troubleshooting production equipment issues, process validation documentation including PFMEA, IQ, TMV, OQ/PQ, statistical analysis of process data, tooling and fixture design experience, understanding of geometric dimension and tolerancing on mechanical drawings.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, preferred
• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
• You’re a self-motivated, driven engineer with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Great written and oral communication skills are a requirement.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in New York is $95,250 to $152,400 per year.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
