Job summary

WSP in the U.S. is actively seeking a Mining Construction Safety Manager to oversee all onsite construction activities for a large EPCM mining project. The candidate will be responsible for health and safety compliance and fostering a strong safety culture across the project apart from collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

This full-time position requires a strong background in mining safety management, with a preference for candidates experienced in both open pit and underground environments. MSHA certification is a must.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant hands-on safety management experience in mining.
• MSHA certification required; other safety certifications preferred.
• Strong verbal/written communication with MS Office capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health and safety performance across the project.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
• Lead training programs on health and safety protocols.
