Job summary

Abbott in Temecula, CA is seeking a Microbiology Technician for a 12-month, 100% onsite assignment. You will support the Microbiology Laboratory, perform test procedures, environmental monitoring, and document results, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and a two-year science degree, with preference for microbiology/biology backgrounds. The role requires meticulous records and teamwork in a regulated lab.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two-year degree in microbiology or biology preferred.
• Minimum two-year science curriculum desired.

Responsibilities

• Support the Microbiology Laboratory: equipment prep, media prep, clean/sterile techniques.
• Perform self-contained sterility testing and bioburden estimation.
• Endotoxin testing of devices, components, and solutions; product test procedure validation.
• Environmental monitoring and certification of cleanrooms (particle counts, air velocity, etc.).
• Accurate record keeping, archiving, and change control under QMS/EMS.
