Job summary

System One is seeking a Microbiology Technician/Associate Scientist in Pleasanton, CA for a contract, onsite role. The position supports R&D formulation development and requires handling various microbes, data analysis, and collaboration with scientists and the Group Manager.

Responsibilities include executing experiments, data collection and presentation, lab upkeep and procurement, and contributing to knowledge management. A Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Background in microbiology with hands-on lab experience preferred.
• Experience with aseptic techniques and dilution procedures essential.
• Ability to quickly understand and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Execute a variety of microbiological experiments in collaboration with technicians and scientists.
• Collect, evaluate, and present data to inform project decisions.
• Assist with lab upkeep, equipment purchasing, and media preparation.
• Contribute to knowledge management through standardization and documentation.
• Network effectively internally and externally and collaborate across disciplines.
• Support cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
• Assist in new test method development and validation.
