Job summary

Canyon Labs in Bluffdale, UT is seeking a Microbiologist I to perform routine microbiological testing in support of product release, EM, and method development in a GMP/GLP environment under direct supervision.

This onsite role offers Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 1–2 Saturdays per month and an hourly pay range of $24.00–$26.00. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability coverage, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMP/GLP quality systems and GDP documentation.
• General microbiology knowledge for pharma/medical device testing.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office and data handling.
• Excellent multitasking and time management.
• Adaptability to changing procedures and environments.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological tests and assays per SOPs.
• Conduct EM and water testing (bioburden).
• Prepare media, reagents, and cultures.
• Maintain cleanliness and aseptic conditions.
• Record data following GDP.
• Assist with equipment use, maintenance, calibration.
• Support investigations and deviations as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents.
• Support method verification or validation under supervision.
