Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join the Workplace Health & Safety team at a Garner, NC site. You will provide first aid, coordinate care, and support safety operations with the WHS team, while maintaining records and assisting with training and drug testing as needed.

The role requires BLS, EMT/Paramedic or Athletic Trainer certification, high school diploma, and the ability to work flexible shifts (days/nights/weekends).

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved ECC provider.
• EMT or Paramedic Certification from the DHHS or NREMT.
• Current Athletic Trainer Certification (BOC or state).

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and refer to outside medical providers as necessary.
• Minimize AA risk through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.
• Maintain all records of care provided to AAs.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for AAs with injuries.
• Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
• Engage with AAs and leadership on operations floor to coach on safe work habits.
• Maintain a clean working environment and medical supply inventory.
• Participate in training to facilitate first aid, CPR and AED certification classes.
• Maintain all first aid, CPR, AED credentials.
• Work flexible shifts including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.
• Support emergency response at the site.
