Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join the Workplace Health & Safety team at the Louisville site. The role focuses on independent first aid assessment, guidance on occupational injuries, and coordination with outside medical providers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved ECC provider; AND one of EMT/Paramedic, or National Registry (NREMT), or Military medic experience.
• Athletic Trainer Certification (BOC or state) and First aid/CPR/AED training from AHA or Red Cross.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with an industrial wellness program.
• Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics and body mechanics coaching.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation.
• Proficient in digital recordkeeping.
• Recent year experience in the Military as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid support and refer to outside medical providers as necessary.
• Minimize AA risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.
• Maintain all records of care provided to AAs.
• Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for AAs with work-related injuries.
• Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
• Engage with AAs and leadership on operations floor to provide coaching on observed at-risk work habits.
• Maintain a clean working environment and ensure medical supply inventory is maintained.
• Participate in training and certification to facilitate first aid, CPR and AED certification classes.
• Maintain all first aid, CPR, AED credentials.
• Work flexible shifts including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols and support emergency response at the site.
