Job summary

Sedaa Corporation is seeking a Product Stewardship Engineer for our South Portland, Maine site. The role performs troubleshooting, assembly, and final acceptance testing on medical devices, plus data analysis to verify performance.

You will contribute to cost-effective repairs, maintain thorough records, and ensure compliance with ISO/FDA quality standards. Onsite collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams is required.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 2+ years of diverse experience in high volume production with ISO/FDA compliance.
• Experience in ISO, FDA or equivalent quality systems and regulations.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and optical diagrams and specs.
• Hands-on electromechanical repair, rebuild, field service experience.
• Experience with instrumentation in the medical field.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and test medical devices including cleaning and assembly.
• Diagnose problems by data gathering and analysis, independently or with aids.
• Approve repairs up to $2,000 to demonstrate financial responsibility.
• Make cost-efficient decisions for budget-conscious maintenance.
• Analyze calibration data to verify device functionality.
• Provide support to technicians and teammates.
• Complete test records and work orders accurately and on time.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and optical subsystems following ESD/safety SOPs.
• Conduct routine cleaning, decontamination, and surveillance testing of labs and instruments.
• Inspect equipment and calibration status prior to use to ensure proper operation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in manufacturing and documentation.
• Complete training curricula on time.
