Qualifications

• 2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of diverse experience in high-volume production settings with ISO and FDA regulations.
• Experience in an ISO/FDA-regulated environment and quality systems.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical and optical diagrams and specifications.
• Hands-on electromechanical repair, rebuild and field service experience.
• Experience with instrumentation in medical settings.
• Proficient with office software (spreadsheet, database, word processing).
• Clear communication of ideas, problems and solutions to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs and final testing on medical devices.
• Diagnose problems by gathering and analyzing data, independently or with job aids.
• Approve repairs up to $2,000, demonstrating financial responsibility.
• Make cost-effective maintenance decisions to ensure efficiency and budget compliance.
• Analyze calibration and service data to verify device functionality.
• Provide support to other technicians and teammates.
• Complete test records and work orders accurately and on time.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and optical systems following ESD and safety SOPs.
• Clean, decontaminate and surveillance test lab space and instruments per SOPs.
• Inspect equipment, standards and parts for errors and calibration status before use.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in manufacturing and documentation.
• Complete training curricula on time and set up equipment for tasks.
• Maintain records, manage spare parts inventory and assist teammates in sourcing materials.
