Collabera in Scarborough, ME is seeking a Supplier Development Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality performance and risk mitigation within a medical device manufacturing setting. You will lead supplier qualification, quality system compliance, and corrective actions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen supplier capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–4 years in supplier/manufacturing quality.
• Knowledge of NCR, RCA, and CAPA processes.
• Ability to analyze data and drive improvements.

Responsabilités

• Support supplier onboarding, qualification, validation, and readiness activities to ensure compliance with established quality requirements.
• Contribute to supplier improvement plans and collaborate with suppliers to address performance gaps and improve process capability.
• Monitor supplier quality metrics, including ppm, defect rates, yield, and quality escapes, to identify trends and opportunities.
• Investigate supplier defects, incoming material issues, and field failures, ensuring containment, resolution, and closure.
• Lead supplier nonconformance management and corrective action activities, including root cause analysis and verification of effectiveness.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify systemic risks, and coordinate supplier reviews and follow ups.
• Develop and maintain inspection procedures and acceptance criteria for risk-based incoming inspection strategies.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams to resolve supplier quality issues and support quality decisions.
• Manage supplier change control processes, including change review, risk assessment, approval, and implementation.
