Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions in Houston, TX is hiring a Medical Assistant for a temporary assignment. The role supports the clinical team, facilitates patient prep, and documents visit information. Travel to Bellaire is required; schedule is on-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

This temporary role lasts about 4 months with benefits after 90 days. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant program, at least 1 year of experience, and BLS

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
At least 1 year of related experience.
BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Support the clinical team in delivering safe, effective patient-centered care.
Prepare for patient visits by confirming schedules, test results, and clinic requirements.
Room patients and document key visit information (chief complaint, vitals, medication list, allergies, smoking history).
Perform clinic procedures as competency-validated (may include hearing/vision testing, EKG, spirometry, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and equipment cleaning).
Stock exam rooms and clinic supplies; clean rooms appropriately between patients.
Assist with routine and specialty procedures.
Schedule follow-ups/referrals and complete clerical tasks (scanning, faxing, photocopying).
Handle telephone messaging and in-person screening with appropriate follow-up.
Respond to emergency situations as needed.
Maintain patient privacy/confidentiality (HIPAA).
