Job summary

Flourish Research is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Los Angeles, CA site. The position is onsite with a Monday–Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM schedule. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $27.00 per hour and includes comprehensive benefits.

The role supports front desk, back office, patient scheduling, and research staff as needed, and requires Oncology experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, Current Medical Assistant Certification, and CPR

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 1–2+ years of relevant clinical support experience.
• Oncology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times.
• Room patients, prepares and maintain examination and treatment area.
• Obtain vital signs and input into EMR; report abnormal vitals.
• Prepare patients and provide information as needed.
• Assist physicians with exams, tests, and procedures (EKGs, phlebotomy).
• Document patient interactions in the EMR; maintain instrument and clinical equipment.
