Job summary

UChicago Medicine Hinsdale is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Multi-Specialty team at 11 Salt Creek Lane. This 100% onsite role requires residency in the Chicagoland area and supports a high-volume outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include patient flow, room preparation, specimen collection, charting, and collaboration with nurses and physicians. Strong phlebotomy and MA certification are preferred; prior EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Phlebotomy training; Phlebotomist license and work experience, if required by practice.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a medical office/facility.
• Certified Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities including patient flow, exam prep, and charting.
• Fulfills clerical responsibilities such as scheduling, billing, and insurance verification.
• Maintains infection control by cleaning rooms and sterilizing instruments.
• Supports emergency codes and upholds patient rights and safety.
• Assists with clinical procedures and vital signs as directed by providers.
