Job summary

Revenue Group in Elyria, OH is hiring an Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative to screen uninsured patients for Medicaid and charity programs in a hospital setting.

You will interview patients at the bedside, complete applications, and coordinate with hospital staff while maintaining HIPAA privacy and meeting monthly production goals. This role requires walking/standing and reliable transportation in a full-time, onsite schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Good attendance and dependability are essential.
• Successful completion of drug and background test required.
• Annual Flu shots and TB testing required.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients.
• Screening/interviewing patient’s bedside in a hospital setting to determine possible eligibility for Medicaid and charity.
• High volume of walking and standing. (70% - 80% of your shift)
• Completing applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with hospital staff and patients.
• Abiding by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patients’ privacy.
• Meeting production goals and objectives as assigned monthly.
• Maintaining confidentiality of account information at all times.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay Rate: $16.25/hr. based on experience, plus monthly bonus ($0- 350) after 90 days.

The Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative will be responsible for:

• One week of classroom training, covering HIPAA regulations, Revenue Group procedures, role-playing, objections, systems, and procedures.
