Job summary

Revenue Group in Elyria, OH, seeks an Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative to screen patients for Medicaid/charity eligibility in a hospital setting. The role involves approaching patients bedside, completing applications, and maintaining HIPAA compliance. Strong attendance and reliable transport are essential.

Hours are Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:30pm. Pay is $16.25/hr (based on experience) with a monthly bonus up to $350 after 90 days, plus comprehensive benefits and paid training.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Good attendance and dependability are essential.
• Successful completion of drug and background test required.
• Annual Flu shots and TB testing required.

Responsibilities

• Review the hospital work queue to identify uninsured patients.
• Screen/interview patients bedside to determine eligibility for Medicaid/charity.
• High volume of walking and standing (70–80% of shift).
• Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers, hospital staff and patients.
• Abide by HIPAA rules to protect patient privacy.
• Meet monthly production goals and objectives.
• Maintain confidentiality of account information at all times.

The Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative will be responsible for:

• Reviewing the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients.
• Screening/Interviewing patient’s bedside in a hospital setting to determine possible eligibility for any assistance programs available including Medicaid and charity.

• Maintaining a positive working relationship with co-workers, hospital staff and patients.
• Abiding by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patients’ privacy.

Training for the Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative:

• One week of classroom training, covering HIPAA regulations, Revenue Group procedures, role-playing, objections, systems, and procedures.
