Job summary

Croft Consulting Services (CCS) seeks an experienced Onsite Mechanical Subject Matter Expert to lead mechanical design and commissioning for data center projects in the United States. You will serve as the primary mechanical technical resource, guiding vendors, reviewing submittals, and ensuring compliance from design through turnover.

The role emphasizes field troubleshooting, QA/QC, and coordination with Project Managers, GCs, and engineers to deliver reliable, mission-critical systems such as

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical field or service experience.
• In-depth knowledge of P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and sequencing of operations.
• Experience with submittal and RFI review processes.
• Familiarity with ACC construction management tools.
• Strong reading of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and controls diagrams.
• Excellent communication and coordination with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop data center designs from Basis of Design through Issued for Construction.
• Manage mechanical system issues from design to installation.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders for technical content.
• Participate in commissioning meetings and QA/QC activities.
• Review test reports for non-conforming data and troubleshoot commissioning issues.
• Conduct on-site reviews of FOAK installations and verify compliance.
• Provide field review of mechanical protection plans and ductwork.
