Job summary

Principal Mineral Holdings is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for an on-site role in Camden, SC. You will own mechanical systems from concept to startup, coordinating design, procurement support, installation, and commissioning.

Collaboration across disciplines and with external vendors will drive safe, cost-effective and constructible plant modernization projects in advanced manufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• Deep technical knowledge to ensure mechanical designs, specs, vendor deliverables, fabrication, and field execution plans are sound.
• Proficient with 2D/3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, construction engineering, or related field.
• Attention to detail across the full capital project lifecycle from concept through commissioning and Change Management.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain technical issues to technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering scopes across project phases from concept through commissioning.
• Specify and select industrial equipment based on operating needs and safety standards.
• Prepare mechanical equipment specs and requisition packages for technical bid evaluations.
• Review drawings to ensure code compliance (ASME, API, local safety requirements).
• Collaborate with EPC partners and internal teams to deliver integrated, buildable engineering packages.
• Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Track project costs and schedules to align with capital plans.
• Support commissioning and safety reviews to transition installations into operations.
