Job summary

MULTIVAC USA is seeking a Design Engineer to lead mechanical design for our standard packaging equipment used in food, pharma, and consumer industries. The role requires creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, validating specs, and ensuring components align with customer needs and MULTIVAC standards.

The position is based in Kansas City, MO, with onsite attendance five days a week. Candidates should reside within commuting distance; relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Experience in mechanical design and/or packaging industry preferred.
• Familiar with 3D modeling and 2D drafting, drawing databases, ERP software, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Independently design machine subsystems for MULTIVAC standard equipment.
• Create engineering models and drawings for packaging configurations.
• Analyze sales sketches and specs to verify feasibility and components needed.
• Contribute to on-time delivery goals and quality standards.
• Apply MULTIVAC design standards and guidelines in all work.
• Use SolidWorks, Keytech, Creo, and SAP in daily tasks.
• Provide engineering support across departments for component evaluations.
• Support package design and technical order processing.
• Participate in design reviews to meet departmental goals.
