Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Materials Coordinator/Inventory Specialist in Bridgman, MI. The role is a 12+ month W2 contract, onsite, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule and a pay rate of $22 per hour.

Responsibilities include material accountability, storeroom operations, and inventory management; a valid driver’s license is required. Candidates must have at least one year of inventory/warehousing experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of inventory control/warehousing experience.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software (Maximo).
• Strong math and data entry skills; ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Issue materials with proper authorization and document records.
• Inspect received materials and update related records.
• Identify and sort material for stock or scrap; file discrepancies.
• Operate materials management systems and related office equipment.
• Prepare and pack materials for shipment or storage, including hazardous materials procedures.
• Operate material handling equipment as required (forklifts, hand trucks).
• Assist in maintaining efficient storage layouts and inventory levels.
• Perform cycle counts and discrepancy adjustments with proper approvals.
