Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Elyria, OH is seeking a highly organized Material Flow Coordinator to support continuous material flow across manufacturing operations and improve on-time delivery.

You will coordinate material readiness, work-order flow, and cross-functional recovery actions with planning, procurement, warehouse, production, quality, and shipping teams to move materials and jobs through the plant in the right sequence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing/materials coordination/production control/planning/logistics/supply chain.
• Experience in an ERP/MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of material flow, inventory control, and production support processes.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and sites in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material movement and work-order readiness to support continuous production flow.
• Monitor and prioritize past due and at-risk customer orders.
• Develop and manage recovery actions for overdue orders to improve delivery performance.
• Identify and remove barriers causing waiting/idle time between operations.
• Ensure materials and subassemblies are available and staged per production priorities.
• Review shortages, blocked orders, and inventory discrepancies affecting order flow.
• Collaborate with procurement to expedite critical parts and confirm supplier commitments.
• Work with warehouse/inventory to resolve material location and transaction issues.
• Support production handoffs between upstream and downstream operations.
• Participate in daily reviews of shortages, bottlenecks, and backlog recovery priorities.
• Escalate unresolved constraints impacting delivery.
• Maintain accurate status tracking for critical orders and shortages.
• Identify recurring backlog causes and support corrective actions.
• Contribute to process improvements to strengthen continuous flow.
